Client-side project managers, not just another builder
Oak Tree is a client-side project management practice, founded by Nicole Jacks, specialising in granny flats, renovations, and permits across Melbourne.
We work alongside architects, builders, and councils to coordinate your entire build on your behalf — not theirs. That distinction matters: a builder is managing their own delivery, an architect is managing the design, a council is managing compliance. We’re the one party at the table working purely for you, across all of it, from first concept through to the keys in your hand.
It’s a simple idea: one experienced project manager, coordinating every professional your build needs, so you’re never the one chasing updates between three different people.

How it works, step by step
Every project starts the same way, then splits into two paths depending on how involved you want us to stay.
01 — ENQUIRY AND FEASIBILITY
We check your land is feasible to build on and take the time to understand what you need. This stage ends with a fixed quote for the concept we’ve developed together.
02 — DESIGN
We develop plans suited to your site and your goals, drawing from our 12 existing designs or starting fresh if your block needs something custom.
03 — PERMITS
We manage council approval on your behalf — surveys, drawings, and liaison with council, so you don’t have to chase any of it yourself.
